The Source Security Working Group represents a broad cross-section of industries, including energy, healthcare, oil and gas applications, and industrial radiography, that seek to promote the importance of isotope technologies. These technologies are a critical and underappreciated component of our modern economy. They are irreplaceable to a broad range of sectors, from modern medical applications to energy production, from climate modeling to oil and gas well logging. Advanced and globally competitive American technologies are underpinned by our innovative uses of nuclear and isotope technology.
The Source Security Working Group serves as a strong voice for fair and rational policies regarding isotope issues at the federal and state level, pursuing a variety of goals that include protecting the U.S. isotope supply, ensuring our laws and policies are informed and science-based, and supporting federal research opportunities.
